Transdev Queensland places great emphasis on training its employees to ensure their knowledge and skills are of the highest quality
Transdev Queensland was named Employer of the Year, South East Region at the 2012 Queensland Training Awards, selected from over 580 nominations statewide.
We are commited to the delivery of staff training programs which are the envy of our industry and put great focus on proactively and progressively updating the skills and knowledge of our staff in areas such as customer service, driver behaviour and safety training.
Major challenges in rolling out such an extensive training program have included the development of appropriate training packages and achieving a systematic shift in the culture of the organisation.
In 2012, over 9500 training hours were undertaken at Transdev Queensland. This equates to an average of 46 training hours per employee per annum or almost 4 hours of training per month for each employee.
Since 2010, the focus on training has achieved positive results in a multitude of reporting areas, including; safety, driver efficiency, staff absenteeism and staff turnover.
To secure the health and safety of our staff; to ensure our staff are valued, respected and treated fairly; and to promote diversity, equality and personal development for all of our staff.
