We are passionate about the community in which we all live and work and have developed strong relationships with our local partners
As an organisation that thrives on working with local people and connecting communities, we have developed a Transdev program, entitled Spirit, which supports national and local charities and local community groups through workplace giving and community grants.
Our Spirit Payroll Giving initiative began in 2009, raising over $200,000 in the last two years for our selected charity partners. Donations from employees are deducted automatically from their pay, before tax. Each employee’s contribution is match-funded by the company, up to a cap of $500 per employee per annum.
In Queensland, we support six national charities and two local charities. Our local charity partners are BoysTown, who provide safety, compassion, education, understanding and hope to young Australians experiencing significant life challenges and Youngcare, who provide choice in care and housing for young Australians with full-time care needs and their families.
Our national charity partners are Australian Red Cross, Beyond Blue, Camp Quality, Cancer Council, Children's Hospital Foundations Australia and RSPCA.
Our Community Grants scheme allows employees to nominate local community groups to receive cash grants of up to $1,000 to fund specific local projects. As an organisation that thrives on working with local people and their communities, the Spirit Community Grants initiative helps to invest back into the communities we serve.
